This partnership marks a significant milestone for our brand. Being selected by a major international retailer like CB2 not only affirms the uniqueness of our designs, but also celebrates the skill and heart of our artisan workforce. We’re honoured to share a piece of our world with theirs.
So what are Milulu baskets?
Handwoven from Milulu grass, a strong and durable natural fibre indigenous to Tanzania and Kenya. These baskets are a beautiful representation of African tradition meeting modern design. Each one is crafted with intention using natural dyes, sustainable weaving practices, and an aesthetic that speaks to those who value both beauty and purpose.
This global moment comes on the heels of another celebration: our second restock of 2025 with Woolworths and @Home. As demand continues to grow for our handmade homeware, we’re proud to see our pieces flying off the shelves and into homes that value conscious living. From South African households to U.S. design stores, it’s clear that sustainable style is no longer a niche, it’s the future.
What makes this journey so fulfilling is that our growth never comes at the cost of our values. Mo’s Crib remains rooted in sustainability, community empowerment, and honouring the people behind the products. More than 87% of our workforce are women, many of whom are the breadwinners in their homes and every restock, every partnership, every international shipment contributes to their empowerment.
