May has always been a special month, but this year at Mo’s Crib, it’s been a powerful reminder of what it means to build with intention, grow together, and truly empower through employment.
We kicked off the month on May 1st with Workers' Day, a moment to honour and reflect on the heartbeat of our company: our team. But the spirit of celebration and growth started even earlier, with a vibrant team-building workshop that set the tone for everything to follow. The theme was bold and fitting: “Building a Team of Greatness.” It wasn’t just a catchy phrase. It was a journey into personal development, professional growth, financial wellness, and learning to walk with confidence, both in the workplace and in life. Catch a glimpse of our day focused on building a team of greatness in this short video we shared on our LinkedIn page.
Workshops like these are more than just a break from the day-to-day. They’re an investment into our people, who show up every single day and we’re proud to say that our people stay. Mo’s Crib has a 100% employee retention rate, and that’s not just a statistic, it’s a reflection of our values, culture, and commitment to creating a workplace where everyone thrives.
Most recently, we had a special training session led by Mike one of our skilled artisans who has been with us since 2019. Mike shared his deep knowledge on how to care for and maintain our cane products, from how to clean them to how to protecting them. It was one of those sessions where tradition met technique, and knowledge was passed down.
This month has reminded us that empowerment isn’t just about employment — it’s about engagement, development, and appreciation. When we build our people, we build a stronger Mo’s Crib and when our people grow, so does our purpose.
Here’s to a powerful May and many more months of growing greatness, together.
