The Mo’s Crib Pretoria Factory Sale was more than we could have imagined, and we’re still taking in what an incredible four days it was.
Over 5,000 of you walked through our doors at Castle Gate over Heritage weekend.
You came. You shopped. You brought your families and friends. You dressed up. You filled the space with colour, laughter, culture and so much South African pride. 🇿🇦
And for that, we are incredibly grateful.
A Celebration of South Africa
There was something particularly special about hosting the Mo’s Crib Pretoria Factory Sale over Heritage Day.
We wanted the weekend to celebrate more than beautiful products. We wanted it to celebrate where they come from, the people behind them and the extraordinary craftsmanship that exists right here on our continent.
And you understood the assignment.
Seeing so many of you arrive in traditional attire was one of our favourite parts of the entire weekend. Different cultures, different colours, different stories, all sharing one space and celebrating what it means to be South African.
It was beautiful.
Because behind every Mo’s Crib piece are hands.
Hands that weave. Hands that shape. Hands that make. Hands that have spent years perfecting skills that have been passed down, learned and shared.
When you choose something from Mo’s Crib, you are choosing something that has been touched by a person, not simply passed through a machine.
That is what African craftsmanship means to us.
More Than 5,000 of You Showed Up
More than 5,000 people joined us over the four days of the Factory Sale.
That number still feels extraordinary.
Every basket carried out of the building, every piece of furniture that found a new home, every conversation, every glass raised and every person who stood in those queues represented something much bigger to us.
You were supporting craftsmanship.
You were supporting the people who make.
You were supporting a South African business.
And you were reminding us why we continue to do what we do.
Pretoria, This One Was Personal
There is another reason this particular Factory Sale meant so much to us.
Pretoria is home.
It is where the Mo’s Crib story began.
Long before the international retailers, before our pieces travelled across the world and before Factory Sale weekends welcomed thousands of people, there was Pretoria.
So to return home and see more than 5,000 people show up for Mo’s Crib felt incredibly special.
There are moments in business when you are so focused on what comes next that you forget to look around and appreciate what is happening right in front of you.
This was one of those moments that made us stop.
Pretoria, thank you.
Thank you for shopping with us.
Thank you for dressing up with us.
Thank you for celebrating Heritage Day with us.
Thank you for choosing handmade.
Thank you for celebrating African craftsmanship.
And most importantly, thank you for continuing to grow with us.
We don't take any of it for granted. 🤎
