There are some days that remind you just how powerful it is when women come together. On 1 August, we had the joy of exhibiting at the SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane 2026 at SuperSport Park in Centurion. Surrounded by thousands of women, families, friends and supporters, we watched the space come alive with movement, laughter, colour and the kind of energy that stays with you long after the day has ended. For Mo’s Crib, it was a beautiful way to step into Women’s Month.
More Than a Race
The SPAR Women’s Challenge has always been about so much more than reaching a finish line. What began more than 30 years ago as a race created to bring women of different ages and fitness levels together, has grown into one of South Africa’s most loved road running events. In Tshwane, women could take on either the 5 km or 10 km route, whether they were there to race, walk alongside friends or simply enjoy being part of something bigger. This year’s theme, #CelebrateHer, made the day feel even more meaningful. It was an invitation to recognise the strength, spirit and stories of women everywhere, not only for what they achieve, but simply for who they are.
Bringing a Little Mo’s Crib to the Day
While thousands of feet were making their way around the course, we had the pleasure of creating our own little corner of Mo’s Crib at the event. Our exhibition space gave us an opportunity to step outside our usual surroundings and meet our community somewhere completely different. Ofcourse our baskets came along too, bringing familiar textures and pieces into a day filled with movement and celebration.
But our favourite part was not simply displaying what we make, it was meeting you.
Seeing familiar faces stop by, welcoming people discovering Mo’s Crib for the first time, sharing conversations and watching our pieces become part of photographs and little moments throughout the day reminded us why being present in our community matters so much.
A Celebration in Pink
With #CelebrateHer at the heart of this year’s event, we wanted our space to feel like a celebration of her too. Pink filled the day, and we embraced it in our own Mo’s Crib way, bringing beautiful pink pieces into our display to mark the occasion. There was something joyful about seeing a colour so closely associated with the event woven into our world. Against a sea of women celebrating one another, those touches of pink felt right at home.
Until We Meet Again
To everyone who stopped at the Mo’s Crib exhibition, said hello, admired a basket, took a photograph or simply shared a smile with our team, thank you!
And to every woman who walked, ran, cheered, supported a friend or simply showed up as herself, we celebrate you.
Thank you, SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane, for giving us another beautiful reason to come together.
Until next time.
With love,
The Mo’s Crib Family
